A recent anime trend in the cute girl, slice-of-life, school club department has been to branch out to outdoor activities, showing the fun of a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities ranging from camping to diving to bike riding. These shows tend to focus on someone new to the activity as they learn the ropes, allowing the viewer to learn along with them. There is not usually much of an overarching plot, although the main character tends to overcome fears or obstacles related to the activity and become more confident in their abilities by the end. Rather than plot, the shows tend to be carried by the calming feeling they provide, heartwarming moments, and usually a healthy dose of comedy. They’re great for helping you to unwind after a stressful day. Here I’ll talk about seven of these to help you find another great show to watch.
